The Cube Stereo Hybrid HPC 140 SLX combines a Fox Float DPS EVOL Trunnion Mount shock and 150mm travel Fox 34 Float Rhythm fork. It’s a great combo in an eMTB of this standing. The combination of Performance CX (Gen4) and huge 750Wh battery delivers the kind of manners one expects out on the trail. A tuned, angled drive position ensures the very best performance and ground clearance. The Stereo Hybrid 140 HPC SLX 750 features better handling than before and revised kinematics. The new geometry and more progressive rear end with Boost axle make for a more potent All Mountain configuration, capable of taking on any trail.

Bosch’s KIOX 300 colour display sits neatly out of harms way on the bars. To the left is the Smart System LED from Bosch with colour display. It changes through four levels of assist including the eMTB mode. KIOX 300 stays put via a strong magnetic backing yet can be removed by hand with ease. Furthermore, colourful screens and easy to navigate sub menus provide every ounce of info a rider requires.

Shimano Drivetrain

Gearing is via a top notch Shimano XT RD-M8100-SGS, ShadowPlus, 12-Speed complementing perfectly the hugely wide ranging cassette, a Shimano Deore CS-M6100, 10-51T. Shimano Deore Direct Attach shifters ensure clean and precise indexing, which is both effortless and responsive.

The winning combination of Schwalbe Hans Dampf, Addix Soft, Super Trail 2.60 on the front and the Addix Speedgrip on the rear keep the HPC SLX on the straight and narrow. Also, stopping power is immense thanks to a fine set of 4-piston Shimano XT BR-M8120 hydraulics on a set of 203 rotors.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
