KTM Macina Scarp SX Prime
The KTM Macina Scarp SX Prime steps up in specification from its brother, the Master.
It is a high performance, lightweight 29er eMTB bursting with high level components. It features the new, powerful SX 55Nm motor from Bosch. Total bike weight is amazingly light at just 17.3kg (excluding pedals).
The 29″ Premium Carbon frame is at the heart of this fabulously lightweight eMTB. Furthermore, the superlight Bosch SX motor and compact 400Wh battery combine beautifully creating an agile and highly maneuverable ebike. No trail is too challenging for the Scarp SX Prime.

When muscle power and electric support work in conjunction, you get top performance exactly when you need it. Also, Bosch’s Performance Line SX is a sporty drive unit that is lighter and more compact than all their other drives.

Pedal faster, pick up speed even faster: The Performance Line SX works at least as hard as you do. It has a reduced pedal resistance of more than 50 percent compared to the Performance Line CX, a narrower design of the cranks and an almost silent motor.
At around just 2kg, the Performance Line SX is Bosch’s lightest drive with the highest power density. It reduces the total weight of your eBike, delivers greater agility and is ideal for fans of a sporty riding style. In addition, the compact drive unit disappears elegantly into the crank area so it looks like a conventional bike.
Latest Bosch Technology
Bosch’s Mini Remote is located on the left of the bars and provides access to all power levels at the push of a button. Also, the System Controller sits unobtrusively on the top tube of the Scarp SX Prime and is easy to read. It comprises different colour LEDs, each representing a different riding mode. In addition, it displays the charge status of the battery.
High Quality Components
A superb set of FOX 34 Float 29″ Factory e-Tune 140mm Grip2 forks on the front ensure a hugely dynamic and responsive ride at all times. It’s smooth damping makes light of rough terrain. Also, the resilient Kashima coating delivers both performance and durability. On the rear is an equally high end FOX Float Factory shock that complements the front perfectly. The icing on the cake is an ultra responsive FOX Transfer Factory internal dropper.
Silky smooth gear changes are a given thanks to Shimano’s top notch XTR M9100 derailleur with XTR shifters. The wide range Deore XT 10-51T cassette ensures superb hill climbing ability at all times. Furthermore, 4-piston Shimano Deore XT M8100 brakes tame the bike when required and act responsively and effectively.
A set of tubeless ready Maxxis Rekon tyres adorn a fine set of carbon rims from DT Swiss. They’re specially formulated to reduce rolling resistance and optimize treadwear and traction.

Unlike other brands of eMTB offering the new SX motor, the full range of KTM Macina eBikes have a removeable battery.
The Bosch CompactTube 400Wh battery integrates seamlessly within the frame producing a bike that’s barely recognisable as an ebike.
