Electronic Rohloff E-14 Shifting System

The E-14 from Rohloff synchronises perfectly with the Bosch eBike system.

One push of a button is all it takes to automatically reduce motor force upon the transmission and shift the SPEEDHUB. Furthermore, of the button is held down, the E-14 shifting system will shift 3-gears at a time in sequence, through all 14 gears. In addition, once the sensors note the cyclist has become stationary, the E-14 system will automatically shift to a pre-programmed gear to start off again.

Gates Carbon Belt

The Superdelite GT Rohloff boasts the Gates carbon belt for quiet and silky smooth operation. No oiling or maintenance required.

As standard on all Superdelite models is 1125Wh of battery capacity, provided by 1 x 500Wh and 1 x 625Wh Bosch PowerTubes.

Quality Components

This full suspension touring eBike boasts a plethora of high quality components. The front suspension of the Superdelite GT Vario is provided by a fine set of SR Suntour Mobie 34 air forks with 100mm of travel. In addition, they can be locked out when riding on particularly firm surfaces.

The rear shock is a Suntour RS-19, fully adjustable to match the needs of any terrain. Schwalbe Super Moto-X 62-584 Reflex tyres on Rodi Tryp35 27,5″ rims provide huge grip, strength and durability on a wide range of terrain. Also available is a suspension upgrade to FOX, front and rear for even greater luxury and performance.

Suspension Upgrade

Worthy of note is that both front and rear suspension can be upgraded to FOX. This will provide an increase in travel to 140mm on the front for more demanding terrain.

A nice set of Magura MT5, 4-piston disc brakes on the front ensure effective stopping in all weather conditions. They’re complemented with a set of MT4’s on the rear that bring progressive and effective braking. The ABUS Bordo Plus mounting neatly on the frame is easily accessible and provides good security at all times.

Multiple Options, including the ‘GX’ package

The Superdelite GT Vario offers many different specification options. Worthy of note is the ‘GX’ package which transforms its already multi-terrain ability into an even more gutsy performer.

The package includes longer travel forks, upgrading from 100mm to 140mm with an additional option to go for FOX, front and rear. Also within the GX package is a more pronounced, patterned tyre (Schwalbe Johnny Watts) for even greater adhesion in the rough, and an internally routed X-Fusion Manic dropper seatpost when the going gets really tough. Furthermore, pedals are wider and more akin to those of an eMTB.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
