The Merida eBIG TOUR 600 EQ builds on the huge success of its brother, the 400 EQ.

Going up in spec, the 600 EQ provides the following enhancements:

Take on steep climbs and tough trails with full confidence thanks to the Shimano EP8 high torque 85Nm motor. The EP8 delivers smooth, direct power to ensure a totally natural ride and one when you’re always in complete control.

It’s lightweight at only 2.6kg, and very quiet so you can enjoy the trails even more. Its sleek integration into the frame maintains great aesthetics. In addition, you can customise power delivery thanks to a nifty Shimano App via a smartphone. It’s dynamic, durable and weather resistant for riding in all weather conditions. A clever walk-assist function also allows support when pushing the bike and walking.

Like all Merida ebikes featuring Shimano drives, the eBIG TOUR 600 has a long range 630Wh Shimano battery. Full integration within the frame maintains sleek lines, with access on and off the bike remaining very easy. It’s low center of gravity is favoured by many. Tidy and neat, the eBIG TOUR is a very easy on the eye.

Shimano’s LCD is bright and clear. There are a number of display options. Sitting neatly on the left hand side of the handlebars, the compact SC-E5003 display has numerous functions, all easily accessed with the touch of a button.

Everything about the eBIG TOUR 600 EQ is designed for ease and luxury.  It comes with front and rear mudguards, rear rack and top of the range LCD lighting to complete the package. Long tours and lazy days out is what the eBIG TOUR is all about. Powerful on climbs, the 11-speed Shimano derailleur gearing ensures optimum performance and awesome hill-climbing. In addition, Shimano M4100 hydraulic disc brakes offer a 4-piston on the front and a 2-piston on the rear for superb braking and handling.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
