Cycle Show 2019 once again showcased some of the very best electric bikes for the 2020 season. It was held over four days in September and is a must for all cycling enthusiasts. Many models will become available shortly, and feature some great new technological advances.
New for the 2020 season are enhancements with both motor and battery.
Here at OnBike, we particularly like Bosch drive systems. Why? Well, for a start there’s a wide choice of motor type with several variants out there with a variety of applications.
Furthermore, the support from Bosch is second to none. They operate a dedicated service centre based here in the UK, for which OnBike is accredited. Oh, and they’re really nice people to deal with too!
Motors are becoming smaller and lighter. Batteries will be offering greater range.
Of particular interest at Cycle Show 2019 was the Riese & Müller range of ebikes, as well as the new Focus range from Germany.

Overall, Cycle Show 2019 was very well supported even though some manufacturers were notably absent.
The test track was once again buzzing with huge interest. As soon as one bike came back from the track, a queue of people were eagerly awaiting their turn! It really is an ideal and unique opportunity to get up close and experience such a wide range of ebikes from so many different suppliers.
