Powered by Bosch’s high torque 100Nm Performance CX drive, the Kathmandu Hybrid ONE 800 overcomes every challenge with ease. Furthermore, a huge, fully integrated 800Wh Bosch PowerTube ensures extensive rides that go on for miles and miles. This powerful combination of CX drive and 800Wh doesn’t feature on many touring e-bikes. The Kathmandu is indeed very special.

At first glance this e-bike is purely a leisure companion. However, look a little closer and the potential soon becomes apparent.

Components on the Hybrid ONE 800 are of a high quality. Gearing is via a very nice Shimano CUES 10-speed derailleur. Also, thanks to Shimano’s Rapid Fire Plus shifters, changing gear is a breeze and effortless. A large 11-48T Shimano cassette facilitates great hill-climbing. It’s even better, especially with Bosch’s CX motor as the driving force. Shimano disc brakes provide effective and decisive braking via 180mm rotors, front and rear.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?
