It’s no surprise that Kalkhoff’s best selling bike, the Agattu, continues to go from strength to strength. This beautifully crafted touring electric bike has immense range as well as ultra comfort. Quoted range is upwards of 125 miles based on ideal conditions. Available in both a 26″ or 28″ wheel size, the Agattu is perfect for modest height riders, but equally flexible to appeal to those much taller. The Impulse V2 alloy frame is strong yet light, and elegantly formed. Cables are neatly tucked away internally. Aesthetically, this ebike is ergonomically designed for both gents and ladies seeking the very best in quality and comfort. Adjustable front forks make the Agattu a flexible performer and is suited to a multitude of different types of terrain. Canal tow paths, railway cuttings and firmer road surfaces are dealt with admirably. The simple and easy to read display is mounted centrally on the handlebar, positioned unobtrusively. Battery charge level, power assist mode, speed, daily mileage and odometer all feature. A nice backlit display ensures easy to read information at all times.
At the heart of the Agattu is the Impulse 2.0 motor. Enhanced and developed for 2017, this high torque and reliable drive unit delivers where others fail. The combination of the Impulse 2.0 and huge 600Wh battery provide range and performance that’s hard to beat. Nexus 8-speed hub gearing ensure shifting is effortless, quiet and a real joy. Equipment levels include front and rear guards, a carrier and top performance lighting. On the front is a Concept EX Pro, 80 Lux LED with parking and daytime running light. On the rear can be found a B&M Toplight Flat Plus, with parking light. Schwalbe Marathon puncture resistant tyres ensure hassle free rides. Braking is deployed via Magura HS 11 hydraulic rim brakes for effective and decisive stopping power.
