Powered by the Bosch Performance CX motor and huge 500Wh battery, the SCOTT E-Scale 710 is a nimble and agile performer, weighing in at only 19.5kg. The high torque CX motor from Bosch finds itself semi-integrated into the frame for an even more balanced and sporty look.
The exhilarating ride of the SCOTT E-Scale 710 is equally matched by its flexibility. Suspension is provided by the flawless FOX 32 Float Performance Air forks with 100mm of travel and features 3-position compression damping with remote lockout. New for 2017 is the GRIP Damper element on the FOX. The damper uses FIT sealed cartridge technology combined with a coil-sprung, independent floating piston. GRIP allows excess oil to purge through specially designed ports at the top of the damper to maintain consistent damping and increase durability. Choose between Open, Medium, and Firm modes with additional micro-adjust between settings.
Syncros X-25/32H rims seated with Maxxis Forekaster Kevlar BeadTR Tubeless Ready tyres provide a tough and resilient wheel on which the 710 performs admirably. Gear changing is solid, slick and reliable. The Shimano XT RD-M8000-GSDM Shadow Plus 11-speed derailleur provides a wide range of gearing via an 11-46T cassette, and makes all terrain accessible. Gear changes take place effortlessly via Shimano SLX SL-M7000 Rapidfire Plus shifters. The frame on the E-Scale is precision made, and utilises 6061 Alloy custom butted tubing with internal cable routing for smart lines and stunning good looks. Scott continues to use additional quality components with the Syncros brand on the headset, handlebar, handlebar stem and seatpost.
