Velo de Ville AEB 800 Classic 28″ with Enviolo TR AUTOMATiQ

Ride Into Elegance: Velo de Ville AEB 800 Classic with Enviolo TR AUTOMATiQ

There’s something timeless about a bike that marries tradition with innovation. The AEB 800 Classic isn’t just another electric bike. Instead, it’s a statement of style, precision, and the freedom to move through the world with ease.

From the first glance, the AEB 800 Classic captivates. Its vintage-inspired step-through frame brings a nostalgic silhouette. Meanwhile, the seamlessly integrated battery and clean lines hint at something more modern beneath the surface. This is where German engineering meets classic design. Here, comfort and performance share the spotlight.

But it’s not just about looks. Powered by a strong 75Nm Bosch Performance Line motor, the AEB 800 glides effortlessly over city streets and country lanes alike. The mid-drive system provides smooth, natural pedal assistance and adapts instantly to your pace and terrain. Hills become flatter, and distances feel shorter. Moreover, commutes transform into something you look forward to.

Enviolo TR AUTOMATiQ Gearing & Gates CDX Belt drive

In the world of modern bicycles, especially e-bikes built for city streets, gravel paths or long commutes, the Enviolo TR AUTOMATiQ stands out as a quiet genius beneath the rear wheel.

Born from the Dutch maker’s long commitment to smooth, user-friendly drivetrains, the TR AUTOMATiQ blends the limitless ratios of a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with an intelligent automatic shifting brain.

Instead of wrestling with gears when traffic stops or hills loom ahead, the system thinks for you: sensors watch your pedalling cadence and speed, and the AUTOMATiQ smoothly adjusts the gear ratio to keep your legs spinning comfortably. Whether you accelerate from a red light, climb a steep bridge or cruise through flat lanes, you’re always in the right gear without lifting a finger. The result is a ride that feels effortless, intuitive and above all, fun. Each journey turns into a fluid experience rather than a technical challenge.

Gates CDX Belt drive

The Gates Carbon Drive Belt Drive System is a unique high performance bicycle drive system that features smooth running and low maintenance. Gates Carbon Drive Belts are clean, smooth and strong and are designed to meet the needs of all cyclists. If you are interested in long distance cycling and rough off-road terrain, the CDX belt is the best choice. The state-of-the-art high-performance belt has a weather-resistant polyurethane surface, with strong, stretch-free carbon belt fibres.

Velo de Ville AEB 800 Classic with Superb Performance and Finishing Kit

Its integrated Bosch PowerTube battery is neatly tucked into the downtube, offering long-range support for extended rides. Also, paired with an intuitive colour Bosch Purion display, you’re always in control.

Built with everyday life in mind, the AEB 800 Classic comes equipped with puncture-resistant tires, a sturdy rear carrier, and integrated LED lighting. Consequently, this ensures good visibility day or night. The ergonomically designed handlebars and adjustable stem provide a riding position that’s both upright and relaxed. It is perfect for longer cruises or casual rides through town.

And true to VELO DE VILLE’s philosophy, the AEB 800 Classic is customisable. From frame colour to gear setup, you can tailor the bike to suit your lifestyle, because your ride should be as unique as you are.

In a world of fleeting trends, the AEB 800 Classic stands as a confident blend of the old and the new. Whether you’re commuting to work, exploring the countryside, or simply enjoying the ride, this eBike brings elegance and efficiency together on two wheels.

Built to the highest standards, the Velo de Ville AEB 800 Classic is laden with features and high quality components. Power delivery is smooth. Furthermore, a 545Wh battery provides extended range. In addition, Shimano hydraulic brakes provide highly effective braking and peace of mind.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
