The Focus Thron² 6.8 is a full suspension highly versatile touring ebike, for everyday use with ultra comfort.

It maintains its status as a unique full suspension trail and touring ebike with a Bosch Performance CX (Gen4) drive at its heart. Coupling with a 750Wh removable Bosch battery ensures long range and a really gutsy performance.

Sporting a 29er wheelset, the Thron² is a very nimble and agile performer with great adhesion and ability as well as superb forward momentum. Dynamic on trails, the Thron²copes easily with every manner of rough terrain. This true performer guarantees to please. Dual Suspension & Fully Kitted

As a dual suspension electric bike, the Thron² 6.8 is all about comfort and dynamic performance in rough territory. However, adding full mudguards, lights and a pannier rack transforms the bike into a real all rounder. Ultra comfort is a given thanks to the Rock Shox 35 Gold’s on the front. A RockShox Deluxe Select shock on the rear with 130mm travel provides superior comfort on all those craggy undulations.

Bosch’s eMTB motor, the Performance CX (Gen4) delivering around 85Nm of torque is the driving force behind the Focus Thron² 6.8. What’s more, it’s light at 2.9Kg, compact and slim. The drive unit integrates perfectly into the frame, providing a sleek and compact solution. In addition, four power settings feature on the CX with a walk assist function too. Assistance levels on the Thron² 6.8 are operated on the left-hand side of the bars. Bosch’s Smart System LCD colour controller offers access to power levels and is complemented by a Kiox 300 display.

Focus Optimized Linkage Design (F.O.L.D)

All Thron² ebikes utilise the unique F.O.L.D. (FOCUS OPTIMIZED LINKAGE DESIGN) suspension system. It embodies the perfect balance between rigidity and forgiveness. All suspension hardware is located in the frame’s centre. The resulting extremely low centre of gravity enables superb handling especially on technical terrain and cornering – perfect for superb bike handling. The core of the design is a one piece rear triangle, which results in massive weight savings.

Gearing on the Thron² 6.8 is via a superb 12-speed Shimano Deore XT M8100 ensuring smooth and decisive shifting. A super light alloy frame ensure reliable and resilient handling together with a high degree of maneuverability. Four piston Sram DB8 hydraulic disc brakes offer powerful yet controlled braking actions.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
