Perfect Balance, Extraordinary Performance, Stunning Looks
Powered by Shimano’s E8000 70Nm engine, the eONE-SIXTY 10k delivers extraordinary performance. Light and responsive, the E8000 marks a new era for eMTBs. The frame design on the eONE-SIXTY is awesome and shows off incredibly sleek lines. It comprises a lightweight, carbon front triangle with “thermo gate” to prevent battery overheat. Furthermore, a huge 504Wh fully integrated, removable battery ensures long rides, and fits seamlessly into the frame.
The hugely acclaimed FOX 36 Factory E-Bike+ 160mm forks are strong and ultra responsive. Such a tough and gutsy performer, they’re capable of handling everything that comes its way. On the rear is a cracking Fox Factory Float X2 that soaks up all those unpleasant undulations.
A superb DT Swiss Spline HC1200 ONE 30 wheelset provides a stiff and strong base on which to ride. Also, with a 29er Maxxis Assegai on the front and a 27.5″ Maxxis DHR II on the rear, both momentum and traction are second to none. In addition, there’s a handy, removable 6/4mm allen key contained within the rear axle to keep everything tight on the bike. Chain stay length is shorter for greater agility. A tapered steerer ensures superb stiffness and precise control.
Gearing on the Merida eONE-SIXTY 10k is simply the best. A Shimano XTR Shadow Plus combines with Shimano’s massive range M9100 12-speed 10-51T cassette. As a result, the two work in perfect harmony and provide amazing climbing and downhill potential. Also, a nice set of XTR shifters are smooth and definite, making changing gear a breeze. The 10k is tamed by a highly impressive pair of Shimano XTR, 4-piston hydraulic brakes. A set of 203mm rotors, front and rear are more than up to the job and provide excellent stopping power.
Merida’s own Expert TR dropper is instantly responsive and facilitates easy handling on all those tricky downhills at the press of a button. Depending on frame size, the dropper comes in three sizes: XS (125 mm travel), S/M (150 mm travel) and L/XL (170 mm travel).
The aesthetics of the eONE-SIXTY 10k are hugely enviable. What’s more, internal cable routing has been perfected thanks to Merida’s ‘Smart Entry’ approach. Cables are routed internally. Additionally, they are clamped under tension eliminating cable rattle and noise even when the going gets tough. Special inlets and outlets ensure a clean and uncluttered look.
Merida really have a stunning, groundbreaking new range of eMTBs. The eONE-SIXTY 10k is in a class of its own. It’s simply everything an eMTB should be.
