Riese & Müller Roadster Touring

The Roadster Touring from Riese & Müller is a simple, elegant and easy to use touring ebike. Furthermore, it’s beautiful design offers ultra comfortable and effortless rides.

Ideally suited for commuting, long leisurely rides and shopping trips, the Roadster sets itself apart from the crowd.

Gearing is slick and responsive via a Deore XT Shadow+ 11-speed derailleur. As a result, hill climbing is exceptional. Comfort and power come together thanks to Bosch’s powerful Performance Line CX (Gen4) motor and long range 625Wh battery. Braking is via Magura MT4 hydraulic disc brakes. Consequently, stopping power is highly effective, even in wet conditions.

With such an all rounder, the Roadster Touring is equally at home commuting, gliding along on canal tow-paths or for general leisure riding. Its multi-purpose design ensure this electric bike is just as happy on tarmac as it is on any firm surface. Kitted out with comfort in mind the Roadster Touring comes with full mudguards both front and rear. A strong front Supernova mini 2 lamp illuminates the way ahead. On the rear is a high intensity Busch & Müller  LED light, fully integrated into the mudguard.

Flexibility & Options

The Roadster Touring is available in two colours; matt black and matt grey.

Being a utility ebike, the Roadster offers a number of carrier options. Consequently, on the front is the option for a very stylish carrier. It has a centrally fixed base plate and sophisticated luggage strap system to secure various items of luggage. Also available is the optional rear carrier. It utilises the Racktime snap-it system for the easy addition and removal of luggage.

Bosch’s Purion display sits neatly on the left side of the handlebars and provides all rider information. Upgrading to Bosch’s SmartphoneHub allows connection of a smartphone and easy to use navigation. Equally, the Bosch Nyon upgrade provides an exceptional GPS navigation solution. In addition, there are many other features available via this very clever interface. This is mounted centrally on the bars with controls easily accessible by the left grip.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
