What is Di2?

The small Di2 mechanical units in the front and rear derailleurs precisely control the movement of each derailleur to provide a perfect, crisp shift every time. The powerful, lightweight motors deliver faster and more reliable shifting in all conditions and all terrain.

Ebikemotion X35 Plus Motor, Fully Integrated 250Wh Battery

Barely recognisable as a road bike with electric power, the Gain D30i is a highly affordable ebike that delivers. The combination of a strong and practically silent Ebikemotion X35 Plus motor and 250Wh battery ensures smooth power delivery and a helping hand when needed. Also, thanks to a clever frame design, full battery integration is possible further adding to the highly pleasing aesthetics. Totally discreet.

With three levels of assistance, the ORBEA Gain D30i is a real joy to ride and very flexible. Head winds and hills need not be quite so draining as they could be. A simple mode button sits on the top tube, allowing the rider to change assist modes as well as turn the bike on and off. Different colour modes show which level is current.

However, that’s not all. Orbea have a further trick up their sleeve, their Range Extender!

Amazingly, a SECOND battery of 200Wh can be added to the seat tube providing a total of 450Wh!

Orbea Gain Range Extender 200Wh Enhance your ride and go further with the new external Range Extender. The Range Extender makes bigger challenges and longer adventures possible, providing nearly 2 hours of additional range at maximum power assist, a unique feature within the industry.

Furthermore, it doesn’t add a much more weight to the bike, being just over a kilo and a half in total. It sits unobtrusively on the frame and looks like a water bottle. When attached to the bike, the external battery charges the main, internal battery. It’s as simple as that.

How do I measure my height?

With your shoes off, stand upright against a wall, with your shoulders back and legs together. Use a pencil to make a small mark on the wall above your head (make sure you hold the pencil parallel to the floor). Then measure from the floor to your mark, in centimetres or feet and inches.

How do I measure my inside leg length?

With your shoes off, stand upright with your back against a wall. Place a book/ruler between your legs, level with your crotch. Then measure from the floor to the top of the book/ruler, in centimetres or feet and inches (it’s easier if a friend helps).

Q & A

Do all brands of ebike use the same unit of measurement?

No. Most brands show sizing in centimetres, however some use a S/M/L system, and others use inches. The table above includes all of these variations to help you find the right size.

Which size should I go for if I'm in between those listed?

If your measurements suggest that you have a choice of two different sizes, then in the end it’s a personal choice. Here are some rules of thumb to consider: Touring/Trekking ebikes - choose the smaller size. It is possible to make a smaller frame bigger (for example, by raising the saddle or fitting a longer the stem), whereas if the frame itself is too big for you, it’s likely to be less comfortable and won't feel right. eMTBs - choose the larger size. You’ll find an eMTB with a slightly larger frame easier to handle than one that feels cramped. You can always fit a shorter stem if necessary to reduce the reach to the handlebars.

How are ebike frame sizes measured?

An electric bike’s frame size is calculated by measuring the distance from the top of the seat tube (where the seat post inserts), to the centre of the front chainring. Sizing Guide
