Popularity of Folding Bikes
The popularity of folding bikes has partly been attributed to schemes designed to discourage cars, such as the congestion charge in central London.
These nippy little machines have come on a long way over the years, and you can now expect virtually the same performance as from a full-sized bike. They are convenient, portable and give commuters flexibility, as well as providing time savings during busy rush hour traffic!
One of the first documented inventions of a folding bike is by an American inventor, Emmit G. Latta who filed a patent in the U.S. on 16 September 1887.
