"Basically I am a lazy rider don’t like thigh burn when you are riding
hard, don’t like being exhausted after a long hill climb, don’t like
riding against the wind when it saps your strength. So I looked for
something to help on my commute to work. Tried allsorts from moped,
mountain bike, recumbent and road bike but not found anything up to
now.
Searched on the internet for electric bikes liked the sound of them but
wanted something that looked good and had a decent range. And first
impressions I have found it with the E-Motion Cross it looks great and
had people commenting on its looks.
My commute is an 18 mile round trip with a couple of fairly steep long
hills. All other bikes I have tried have been uncomfortable to ride and
I always ended up with a sore arse which always put me off cycling also
when I got to work my T shirts would be soaked in sweat and I would be
very red faced, fortunately we have showers at work.
With the E-Motion it takes me around the same time as a my normal bike
I do the 9 miles in about 35 minutes, I am not red faced my T shirts
are not soaked in sweat in fact I don’t even need to shower when I get
to work.
Hills are a breeze not out of breath when I get to the top the secret
is don’t try and ride fast up the hills just let the bike do the work,
just take it nice and steady and you will sail up them.
I don’t get thigh burn you can feel your thighs working but its
comfortable, riding against the wind is no problem, and it’s the most
comfortable bike I have ever ridden no more sores arse, don’t know if
it’s the seat or the seat post suspension or a combination of the two
but it’s great.
I ride in the main on the middle setting might go to high on a steep
hill. I weigh 86kg and I am getting about 25mile range on my 10ah
battery which is enough for my commute but would like more to be
honest.
Some people have said it’s a nice bike to ride with the battery
switched off but I don’t its heavy and it takes a lot of effort. But
hey I didn’t buy the bike to ride with no motor I bought it for the
motor to help me.
I find it a very stable bike, well balanced and easy to ride.
