Most electric bikes have longer than normal chains because the position of the battery (and motor in some cases) that means the rear wheel is further away from the chain wheel. Most normal chains are supplied in 114 or 116 link length, so often you have to buy two chains and link them or worse still, some people patch in a piece of their old chain!
